A little bit about me.

My name is Kat, a self-taught creative currently based in Houston, Texas, and I'm passionate about how we interact with our environment through design. I'm driven to learn and grow as a designer and seek ways to make an impact through visual and creative strategies. I have learned to apply and adapt my skills to different industries such as screen printing and production artwork. Currently, I work at an art consultation firm as part of the graphics team where we develop custom artwork primarily for healthcare and corporate spaces.

As I've grown as a designer, I realized that user-focused design plays a very important role in ever-evolving trends and processes found in our everyday lives. By completing the Google UX Design certificate, I've expanded my skill set and am constantly learning about how to place the user front and center in all aspects of the creative industry.

In my off hours, I enjoy creating illustrations and digital paintings, reading a good book, and hitting the ball around in the racquetball court.
